The Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, has cleared former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The party disclosed this in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Ishaq, saying the decision followed the review of the report submitted by the Primaries Appeal Committee and adopted by the National Working Committee of the party.
The Primaries Appeal Committee also upheld the outcome of four other primary elections, except that of the Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano State, which was nullified.
The PRP said it is fielding 420 candidates for various positions in the 2027 general elections in line with its commitment to active participation in the electoral process.
