The Confederation of Africa Football, CAF, has postponed the 2022 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers amid covid-19 concerns.
The qualification campaign initially scheduled to begin in June will now hold in the international windows of September, October, and November 2021 to March 2022.
The postponement was informed by the need to adhere to COVID-19 protocols especially on pre match testing as well as to ensure optimal playing conditions for participating teams.
Nigeria Super Eagles will compete in group c against Cape Verde, Central Africa Republic and Liberia.
The winners of the 10 groups will advance to the third round of qualification where they will be paired with the winners of the five fixtures advancing to the World Cup.
