Katsina State Government has directed the immediate lifting of the ban on the movement of motorcycles within the metropolis and in the Frontline Local Government Areas bedeviled by the activities of terrorists.
The earlier ban spanned from 6:pm to 6:am within the metropolis, as well as in the Frontline Local Government Areas, as part of the Security Challenges Containment Order.
The Commissioner of Police and Chairman of Security Containment Order, Idris Dabban, announced this through the spokesman of the Police, Superintendent Gambo Isah, in an audio message.
According to the announcement, the lifting of the ban is a result of the forthcoming Ramadan period, to enable Muslims to engage in acts of worship without hindrances.
