Rape: Bauchi State Police Command Arrests 2 Suspects Over 3 Minors

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 67 and 28-year-old men for raping 3 minor girls in the Bauchi Metropolis.

State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Auwal, disclosed this during a press conference held at the police command headquarters, in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.

Sixty-seven-year-old retired civil servant Mohammed Bala and 28-year-old drycleaner, Sulaiman Musa, were among the suspects paraded by the Bauchi State Police Command, for allegedly lurring two minors and a teenage girl, all within the Bauchi State capital.

The suspects, while speaking to journalists, confirmed their involvement in the acts. 

The sixty-seven-year-old Mohammed Bala, who lured two girls at the same time, said he gave them two hundred Naira before they accepted his desires.

While the laundry man, Sulaiman Musa, said he only applied his finger to the private parts of the nine-year-old girl.

In another development, the command also paraded one Abubakar Nuhu, of Gwallagan Magayaka, for inhumanely treating his five-year-old biological son, as he tied him with an iron chain, and locked him inside a room for a number of days.

The acts are described by the State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Auwal, as child abuse.

CP Mohammed Auwal, expressed the command’s determination, to deal with anyone found wanting, calling on parents to always ensure close supervision of their children and wards.
