The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Pam D. Mwadkon of the Action Democratic Party, ADP as winner of Saturday’s Senatorial rerun election in Plateau North Senatorial District.
Declaring the result in the early hours of Monday, February 5, the returning Officer, Professor Monday Chagok, said Pam Mwadkon scored 122,442 Votes to defeat his closest opponent, Yakub Muhammad Safiu of the NNPP who polled 53,980 votes, just as Chris Giwa of the APC came third with 39,132 votes, while Gyamg Zi of the LP placed 4th with 33,243 votes.

In a related development, the Returning Officer for Jos North-Bassa Federal Constituency Re-run polls, Profrssor James Garbe, has declared the candidate of the Labour Party, Daniel Asama as the winner of the election.
Asama polled 66,422 votes to defeat his closest rival, Muhammad Gwani, of the PRP who scored 61,670 votes.
