The fight to avoid relegation in the English Premier League, EPL, intensified on Monday as reigning Europa League champions, Tottenham Hotspur, hosted Leeds United in a crucial Matchday 36 clash.
Heading into the encounter, Tottenham sat just above the relegation zone in 17th place with 37 points, only one point ahead of 18th-placed West Ham. Leeds United were 15th with 43 points.
Both teams settled for a 1-1 draw, earning a point each. The result moves Leeds up to 14th place, while Tottenham remain in 17th position and still under pressure.
With only two matches left in the 2025-2026 season and two teams already relegated, the battle for survival remains tense among the bottom clubs.
Tottenham will next face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before hosting Everton on the final day of the season.
West Ham will travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle United before wrapping up their campaign against Leeds United.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest will take on Manchester United at Old Trafford before hosting Bournemouth, who are still pushing for a European place next season.
