Residents in Ido Ekiti where a supplementary election was held in three polling units on Saturday have called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to improve the effectiveness of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS.
They made the call on Saturday during the supplementary election, claiming that some voters were disenfranchised, due to the ineffectiveness of Bvas.

The residents also disclosed that vote buying greatly diminished during Saturday’s supplementary poll, compared to the previous exercise.
Meanwhile, Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Dare Ogundare, while monitoring the exercise, applauded the peaceful process, saying the command did not receive complaints of violence in any of the voting locations.
