Residents of Jos South Decry forceful take over of their lands

Some residents of Kangashik, and Zawan in Jos South local government area of Plateau State have decried the forceful take over of their lands by government and want a quick intervention to avoid any dangerous reaction that may come as a result of the problem.

They made their position known in a peaceful protest to draw government’s attention to the illegal confiscation of their lands by some top government officials.

The people say they will not sit back and watch what they all laboured for go down the drain because of the powers that be.

One of the victims Mary, a widow says all she’s got is the piece of land and is about to be taken away and if nothing is done to address the issue she will be left with nothing.Therefore she wants justice.

Others who spoke say their demands must be looked into for a quick resolution before it degenerates into what government may not be able to control

They called on the Plateau State Government to come to their aid in the interest of peace.
