The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress ADC* is witnessing a major shift in its governorship race as two prominent aspirants have withdrawn from the contest.
Former House of Representatives member, Hon. Asita O. Asita, and the former Chief Medical Director of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital UPTH have both stepped down to support the candidacy of Gabriel Pidomson, a former Secretary to the Rivers State Government.
With the withdrawals, the race for the party’s ticket has now been narrowed down to five candidates which includes: Gabriel Pidomson, Sokonte Davies, Former member House of Representatives, Farah Dagogo, Leloonu Nwibubasa and
Allen Hart.

with this development, the governorship candidate of the Rivers State ADC, will be determined by registered party members through direct primary election
