The unexpected keeps happening from the just concluded Rivers state governorship and house assembly elections as ten members of the executive working committee of the Rivers State All Progressives Congress, APC, has suspended its chairman Emeka Beke for allegedly involving in anti-party activities.

Chike Enyinda one of the Executive members who briefed newsmen in Port Harcourt said the deputy chairman Omiete Eferebo is now the acting chairman.

Briefing newsmen at the River state secretariat of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the Rivers State APC executive members led by Chike Enyinda accused Rotimi Ameachi and Emeka Beke of supporting Atiku Abubakar during the Presidential election, and also slammed him for derogatory statements against the President-elect Bola Tinubu.

Enyinda further said that the party has taken a stand by suspending the state party chairman Emeka Beke and its legal adviser Iheanyichukwu Azubike, thereby appointing his deputy Omiete Eferebo, as the acting chairman
