Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike on Monday inaugurated a team of ward and constituency liason officers to all the 319 wards and units of the State.
Addressing the over three hundred appointees at the Government House Port Harcourt, Governor Wike says the primary responsibility would be to get feed back from the grassroots especially about their needs, expectations and even short comings of his administration.
He has barely six months left in office, but Governnor Nyesom Wike is still bent on delivering good governance and dividends of democracy to the people of Rivers State.

Charging the new appointees to be serious with their work, the Governor says their work would also include finding out from the people the political direction Rivers State would follow ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Governor Nyesom Wike further used the occasion to respond to a fellow Rivers son and former Minister of Transportation Abiye Sekibo over a number of claims he made recently.
He maintained that Abiye Sekibo and all those working against the interest of the State have no voice and cannot determine where Rivers votes will go.
Nyesom Wike says he would at the appropriate time expose Abiye Sekibo and other Rivers sons and daughters working against the interest of the State; saying that greed has always been their motivation.
