Twenty-four members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have resolved to serve a motion of impeachment on the Governor, Sim Fubara.
The lawmakers are accusing the Government House of being behind Sunday night fire incident that burnt down the chamber of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

They identified the Assembly Majority Leader, Ehie Edison as being the mastermind of the fire incident and subsequently removed him from his position and suspended him along with three other lawmakers.
The plenary of the Assembly is currently ongoing
