The new bridge is part of efforts by his administration to ease the flow of traffic in the ever-growing city.
The Rivers State Government had in October last year flagged off the simultaneous construction of three flyover bridges at Rumuogba, Okoro-Nu-Odo, and Rebisi at a cost of over N21 billion.
A visit to the various sites showed that work is progressing and on course to meet the 16 months handover date.
When completed, the three flyover bridges together with the fourth one now being contemplated, would open and connect the entire state; ensure safe and convenient commuting as well as ease the flow of traffic and facilitate economic growth.

Apart from the construction of the flyover bridges, the Wike administration, in its bid to restore Port Harcourt to its garden city status, embarked on an urban renewal project.
The roads in the two local government areas that make up the state capital are now being reconstructed and expanded.
Governor Wike also inspected a good number of the roads being reconstructed.
The Rivers State Governor also used the opportunity to again apologise for the inconveniences caused by the construction of the flyover bridges as well as the road rehabilitation going on across the state capital saying that the projects are geared towards making life better for the people.
