Tony Okocha has been sworned-in as the new Chairman of the All progressive Congress APC in Rivers State.
Okocha emerged the state chairman after delegates from all the twenty local government area of the state elected him at the party’s congress in port Harcourt.
He was sworn in alongside thirty five other newly elected members of the party’s state working committee.
The chairman, congress planning committee Adoye Omale who declared Tony Okocha and others duly elected, said the congress was free and fair

Okocha in his acceptance speech, said the days when the APC does not participate in elective positions in Rivers State are over.
He urged members of the party to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration to transform the nation.
The south south zonal national vice chairman of the APC Victor Giadom urged party members to support the Tony Okocha led executive in order to take over the state government house.
The Independent n!National Electoral Commission INEC was on ground to monitor the state congress.
