Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara on Tuesday swore in 16 Permanent Secretaries to fill up vacancies in Ministries that currently do not have administrative heads.
Speaking at the short ceremony, Governor Sim Fubara charged the new Permanent Secretaries to refrain from politics and most importantly see their appointments as call to duty to support his administration in delivering good governance and other dividends of democracy to the people
Presiding over the swearing in ceremony, the Governor noted that these seasoned bureaucrats are said to have been carefully selected from a large pool of qualified candidates numbering several thousands
Governor Sim Fubara said that as a matter of fact, their selection was strictly on merit.

He therefore wants them to see their appointments as a sacred call to duty and urged them to refrain from politics
The Governor assured the State’s civil servants of a conducive working environment.
The event was immediately followed by the presentation of official vehicles to the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.
