The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, says it has completed the comprehensive review of Nigeria’s Revenue Allocation Formula, with its recommendations now awaiting consideration by appropriate authorities.
The Commission also says it has concluded the review of remuneration for judicial office holders, while similar reviews for political and public office holders are at an advanced stage.
At a strategic stakeholders engagement in Lagos, the RMAFC Chairman, Mohammed Bello Shehu emphasized on the Commission’s Strategic Communications and its Institutional Reform Initiative.
He said the revenue allocation review followed nationwide consultations and assessments of Nigeria’s fiscal realities.
Shehu stressed that better remuneration must come with accountability and improved service delivery.
The Commission unveiled a 2026-2030 strategy to improve transparency, media engagement and public understanding of revenue allocation.
