Close to 50 suspected social miscreants and other criminals were arrested on Tuesday night by police in Katsina metropolis when Governor Dikko Radda led various security agencies to raid the hideouts of dare-devil criminals.
Both the Police spokesman, Assistant Superintendent, ASP Abubakar-Sadiq, and the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Muhammed, confirmed the development to newsmen in a statement.

According to the statement, the hideouts raided by the governor and his team of security personnel were Sabuwar Unguwa, Sharar Pipe, Dan Hako, Filin Polo, Kofar Guga, and Tudun Matawalle, all known to be dangerous spots where the suspects specialise in snatching phones and robbing residents.

During the exercise, Governor Radda repeated an earlier order to security operatives to deal ‘mercilessly’ with miscreants breaching the peace and public order across Katsina.
Following Tuesday night’s operation, Governor Radda on Wednesday morning,, summoned an emergency meeting with Security Chiefs in the state, over the resurgence of crime in some parts of the state.
He said he was unhappy with the security situation in the state, urging the security chiefs to be more proactive in carrying out their duties
