The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the remaining three nominees out of the 10 forwarded by President Bola Tinubu for appointment as INEC Resident Electoral Commissioners.
All three nominees were absent on Wednesday, when the other seven were screened and confirmed by the Nigerian upper legislative house.
The three confirmed during plenary on Thursday are; Bumi Omoseyi (Lagos), Anugbum Onuoha (Rivers), and Abubakar Dambo (Zamfara).

Their approval followed the adoption of a motion by the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele (APC-Ekiti Central) at the Committee of the Whole.
Thereafter, the nominees took turns to highlight their career achievements and professional experiences, affirming that they would ensure transparency in the discharge of their duties.
The Senate after consideration of the credentials and experiences confirmed all the three nominees as INEC Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).
