The senate on Wednesday Confirmed the appointment of Former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase as the New Chairman of Police service Commission
The confirmation followed the adoption of the report of its committee on police affairs presented by the chairman Senator Jika Halliru (Bauchi Central).
Senator Halliru said Arase performed creditable well during the screening exercise and showed high level of competence

The lawmakers after consideration unanimously confirmed Solomon Arase as substantive Chairman of the Police Service Commission.
President Muhammadu Buhari had in a letter to the Senate asked the Senate to consider and confirm Solomon Arase as Chairman Police service Commission in accordance with the provision of section 154 (1) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
