Nigeria’s Senate President, Ahmed Lawan has appealed to Nigerians to support all federal government policies and programmes especially the use of technology to improve the country’s electoral process
Lawan made the appeal after casting his vote in his polling unit 001B in Katuzu Ward of Gashua Local Government of Yobe state.

The Senate President who arrived much earlier at his polling unit 001B in Katuzu Ward of Gashua Local Government of Yobe state, was accredited by the INEC officials using the BVAS machine. After casting his vote, the country’s number three citizen assured Nigerians of better days ahead as the use of technology in the country’s future elections promises.
Some of the voters said the use of the Bimodal Verification Accreditation System, BVAS, made both the accreditation and voting process easier.
Those who came out in their numbers to vote in the presidential and National Assembly elections appealed to government to consider full deployment of technology in the conduct of future elections in the country.
