The Senate Minority Leader and PDP Governorship aspirant in Abia State, Enyinnaya Abaribe has withdrawn from the primary exercise
Also, the Deputy Governor of Abia State and Governorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, Ude Oko Chukwu has withdrawn from today’s scheduled Governorship primary election in the State.
In a release by the Deputy Governor,Oko Chukwu,the Aspirant accused the Party for generating a three man ad-hoc delegates list without an election, contrary to the party’s constitution and guidelines.
The former Deputy Governor stated that he cannot be part of the violation of the constitution describing the primary election as a sham.
On his part Senator, Abaribe said the use of only an imaginary 3-man Adhoc delegates to the exclusion of the party’s statutory delegates in the primary elections to elect candidates even when INEC the nation’s electoral umpire, has unequivocally stated that no congress held in Abia State for that purpose, has no doubt put the party and her candidates in a quagmire.
For now all is set for the PDP Governorship primary election holding at the Umuahia township Stadium.
