The All Progressives Congress, APC in Enugu State, South-East Nigeria at its stakeholders meeting over the weekend, welcomed new members into its fold.
Among the notable defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP were Senator Chuka Utazi, who represented Enugu North for eight years and former Minister of Aviation who was later appointed as Ambassador, Fidelia Njeze.
State Party Chairman, Ugochukwu Agbala, and the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Uche Nnaji, receiving the new members, commended their decision to join the ruling party at the centre citing it as a sign of APC’s increasing acceptance in the South-East zone.
Both Senator Utazi and Ambassador Njeze while pledging their loyalty to the APC, stated that their decision to join the party was based on the conviction that it has the best interests of the Nigerian people at heart.
