A Socio-economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), a non-governmental organisation, has faulted the recent move by the Federal Government, to push through two bills at the National Assembly, to amend the National Broadcasting Act as well as the Nigeria Press Council Act.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos this Wednesday, to discuss the policy implications of the bills, the group described the action as an impediment on the freedom of the press, in discharging its responsibilities as the fourth estate of the realm.
