The Management of University of Calabar has set up a Committee to take charge of students’ mobilization to Law School, review and possible recall of the students’ list sent to Law School, following the suspension of the former Dean of the faculty, Professor Cyril Ndifon Over allegations of extortion, favoritism and sexual harassment.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof.Florence Obi,made the Management position known during a media briefing with journalists in her office in Calabar.
Obi who pleaded with the students, alumni, friends and parents in the University of Calabar to give them a chance to get to the root of the several allegations, said the Management also removed from office two examination officers and sets up a fresh result Vetting Committee.
To give further assurances to students, Project Committees to assign Project supervisors to undergraduates
and admission Committee to review Direct Entry Admissions into law department were also set up.

The Management of Unical warned any lecturers with such habits like Professor Ndifon to voluntarily leave the university or will be smoked out, saying Standard Operations Procedure(SOP) in the institution has also be restructured.
