Vice President Kashim Shettima has called for leadership continuity, stronger institutions, and reforms that outlive political administrations as key drivers of sustainable development.
Speaking at the opening of the Nasarawa Investment Summit 2026 in Lafia, the Vice President said the true measure of governance lies not in immediate applause, but in the durability of systems built over time.

The summit, themed “Bold Transitions: Building a Legacy for a Sustainable Future,” brought together policymakers, investors, development partners, and other stakeholders to explore investment opportunities and review Nasarawa State’s development trajectory.
Shettima described Nasarawa as a strategic investment destination, citing its proximity to Abuja, agricultural potential, mineral resources, and emerging energy opportunities.
Governor Abdullahi Sule also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining reforms and ensuring policy continuity beyond political transitions.
