Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
Shettima, who was received by the President in his office, visited to express his appreciation to Tinubu for retaining him as his running mate on the APC presidential ticket.
The visit came shortly after the APC formally unveiled the Tinubu-Shettima ticket after a meeting of party stakeholders.

The decision by the ruling party puts to rest weeks of speculation over the identity of President Tinubu’s running mate ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Friday’s meeting between the President and the Vice President according to Political watchers underscored the continued partnership between both leaders as the APC prepares for the next general election.
