The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has flagged off its campaign for the off-circle governorship election in Imo State, South East of the country scheduled for November 11, 2023.
At the campaign rally in Owerri, President Bola Tinubu assures the people of his support and commitment to the re-election of incumbent Governor Hope Uzodmma.
The event was held at the Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri, the Imo state capital with thousands of APC supporters from the 27 local government councils of the state in attendance.
Tinubu, who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, says the Imo State Governor has connected the Igbos to national politics, urging the electorate to come out en-mass and vote for the APC in November 11 poll.
Over ten governors from APC controlled states, former governors and the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje were in attendance.They praised the infrastructural development efforts of the Governor Hope Uzodmma led administration, calling on the people to return him for a second term in office, for sustainability.
Governor Hope Uzodimma while expressing gratitude to President Tinubu, assured that he will improve on his developmental stride.
The Vice President had earlier on arrival in the State commissioned the Toronto – Road Safety road in the Owerri city, built by the Uzodimma administration.
