Latest reports from Enugu, South East Nigeria regarding the Mondays sit-at-home order say a vehicle conveying foodstuff was burnt to ashes at Edem junction, Ibeagwa, Enugu East Council Area by suspected hoodlums allegedly enforcing the already suspended civil action.
The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, which in early August 2021 declared the order has since announced a suspension, but hoodlums have taken over, causing harm on tens of residents and commuters.

The latest victims were said to be returning from the Ugwogo Nike end of the Opi Nsukka – Enugu by-pass when their vehicle was attacked.
This incident occurred as residents are beginning to heave a sigh of relief that economic activities are gradually picking up in the State after about two months when every Monday of the week had largely witnessed total lockdown of businesses and social activities, as ordered by IPOB.
Sympathisers were said to have put a call to the State Fire Service, who eventually contained the inferno, but the damage had been done.
As of the time of filing this report, no contact had been established with the driver of the burnt vehicle or the owner of the goods to determine the extent of loss.
The Enugu State Police Command said nobody had been arrested so far in connection with the incident, adding that investigations had commenced.
