The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has confirmed the safe release of six persons abducted from the University of Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
The Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh who confirmed the release to newsman said no ransom was paid to secure their release.

The UNIAbuja Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Katsina Umaru who first confirmed the release appreciated the effort of the Joint security operatives.
Also, the spokesman of the university, Habeeb Yakoob while confirming the release to AIT by 8:40am Friday morning said there is wild jubilation on campus as the news broke.
Habeeb said the trauma over the abduction was already affecting the psychology of staff, student and entire university community.
Six persons including Professor Obasan and his child were abducted on Tuesday from their house in the UNIAbuja Staff Quarters located at Giri, Gwagwalada in the FCT.
