The federal government says more youths in Nasarawa state will be given different skills to ensure self reliance and reduce unemployment in the state.
The director general, Industrial Training Fund , Joseph Ari said this at the end of a training held in Lafia the Nasarawa state capital.
Skills acquisition is seen as a viable option to reduce unemployment and other socio economic challenges bedevilling the nation.
The Director general ITF Joseph Ari explained that the objective of the apex training agency in Nasarawa and the nation at large is to promote the availability of manpower, technical and vocational skills to meet the needs of industries and the country.
Nasarawa state governor Abdullahi Sule said he agrees with the ITF that skills acquisition will create wealth in the state, Nigeria and across the world.
After weeks of building the capacity of these Trainees, they share their experience and plans having received skills.
The event climaxed with presentation and launch of a book on skills acquisition titled ” Beyond Degrees to vocational skills”
