The Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign council in Sokoto state, Yusuf Suleiman has expressed disatisfaction with the magnitude of violence that charactetized the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly election in the state and calls for adequate punishment for perpetrators of violence during elections.
Suleiman made the call at the Presidential election collation centre where he called for the outright cancellation of election results where overwhelming violence marred the electoral process.
Similarly, the Director General, of APC Campaign Council Muhammadu Dingyadi who doubles as the minister of police affairs Said the level of violence perpetrated at most polling units across the twenty three local government areas will affect the true representation of results in the state
