The Federation of Agricultural Commodities Association of Nigeria says the attempt by vested interests, especially the whistleblowers are to discredit the person and the office of the AfDB President, Akinwunmi Adesina.
The organization declared support for Adesina and called on all African leaders to do same.
The organisation outlined Adesina’s achievements both as former Nigeria’s minister and under his current leadership as the President of the African Development Bank.
It noted that his second term will accelerate growth and development for the African continent.

The group warned that the presence of external influence, interference, and undermining the credibility of the bank’s governing principle might disrupt Africa’s continuous economic growth, infrastructure development, and investment.
It will be recalled that Adesina was elected as President by the bank’s Board of Governors at its annual meeting in Abidjan on May 28, 2015.
