Stakeholders in the education sector in Enugu state South-East Nigeria have expressed concern over the continued lockdown of schools as a result of COVID 19 pandemic.
They argued that the prolonged closure of schools was having adverse effect on the academic pursuit of students.
They are of the view that prolonged lockdown of schools was no longer necessary as the closure was having a negative effect on students in their academic endeavours.

While appreciating government for the online lectures, they, however, noted that not many families have access to radio and television, especially those in the rural areas to receive lessons given to pupils and students through radio and television.
