The Southeast Governors Forum says it has commenced dialogue towards resolving the various Sit-at-Home Orders issued by different secessionist groups against the smooth conduct of the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra State.
The Forum in a statement signed by its Chairman and Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi says it is aware that the brewing insecurity in the Southeast has gone beyond the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB; following the hijacking of the secession agitations by unknown recruited armed robbers and kidnappers.

The statement condemned the series of killings of innocent lives in the Southeast region of the country and commended the Federal government, Security Agencies, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Traditional Rulers and Religious Leaders for their undying efforts to restore peace in the region.
While expressing satisfaction with INEC’s determination to hold Anambra Election on Saturday; the statement further says its committed to the political solutions in resolving the present situation in the Southeast.
