Stakeholders from the academia and the private sector have reiterated the urgent need for young Nigerians to acquire additional entrepreneurship skills aside the formal education they receive in order to prepare them ahead of future endeavors as job creators and not job seekers in a fast technology driven economy.
This and many more came to the fore during an entrepreneurship training programme organised for students at the Osun State University in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
The workshop has stakeholders drawn from the academia, business community as well as students of Osun State University.
In a lecture titled : Entrepreneurship Studies and Innovation : Transforming students’ ideas into business enterprises, the guest speaker Dr. Dayo sobowale highlighted the possibilities of eradicating poverty among the Nigerian youths by adopting business ideas

The Vice Chancellor,Osun State University, Professor Clement Adobooye, explained that the programme will also expose the students with opportunities in innovation, business planning, financial literacy, and venture development.
According to the organizers, the initiative will serve as a major step toward aligning education with national economic goals.
