AKUME
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume needs the support of everybody in his home State of Benue in North-Central Nigeria as he concentrates to deliver on the huge demands of his office under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Professionals of Tiv origin resident in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja are therefore calling on all ethnic groups in Benue State including elders of Idoma extraction who say that their people have been politically marginalised both in the state and at the federal level to sheathe their sword

President of the OnTiv Professionals Association, OPA, Abraham Aku at a media briefing over the weekend asked those calling for the sack of Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation to desist from such to allow the peace and unity in Benue state to remain strong.

Akume is now the political leader of the entire North-Central Nigeria just as was the case between 2007 and 2015 when former Senate President, David Mark of Idoma origin was the highest public office holder in the geo-political zone.
