Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has directed security agencies to investigate the disruption of the APC campaign rally held on 4 November 2026 and ensure that anyone found responsible is brought to justice, irrespective of political affiliation or status.
He gave the directive during an expanded security meeting attended by traditional rulers, political leaders, heads of security agencies and local government officials to review the security situation in the state.

Governor Sule expressed concern over reports that some individuals allegedly obstructed the Vice President’s convoy and later disrupted activities at the campaign venue by chanting provocative slogans and throwing an object towards the podium where he and other dignitaries were standing.
He also questioned the deployment of tear gas by police personnel within the venue, describing the incident as a serious security lapse that could have endangered lives.
The intervention of the military, DSS and Civil Defence helped to restore order.

The governor directed security agencies to investigate the alleged disruption, examine available intelligence and social media evidence, identify those involved and take appropriate legal action.
The meeting reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to maintaining peace, strengthening security operations and protecting lives and property across Nasarawa State.
