The Management of Sunshine Stars FC of Akure in Ondo State, South-West Nigeria has announced the sacking of the Head Coach, Edith Agoye.
The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Bamidele Ologunloluwa, at a meeting with the coaching crew of the team on Monday. Also sacked along with Agoye was his technical crew.
Ologunloluwa said the sack came after a poor run of form and several ultimatums given to the coaching crew by the management. Sunshine Stars are currently 12th on the log with 22 points from 19 matches.
Meanwhile, reports say Kennedy Boboye, Duke Udi and Deji Ayeni all of whom have managed the club in the past have been touted as possible replacements.
