The Nigeria National League has placed an indefinite hold on the season ending Super4 play off tournament scheduled for Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.
The Overwhelming flood ravaging the state, has led the NNL to postpone the event which was billed to start 25-29 October,2022 at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
The flood in Bayelsa has not completely abated and the Federal Government’s intervention team has began work to give Bayelsans and other citizens fresh hope following the devastating effects of the flood.

While intervention work is ongoing, Bayelsa State government says it is still committed to hosting the Super 4 as it keeps surveillance on the situation.
Coming out from a recent meeting where the situation was assessed,host Bayelsa and the NNL management team, strongly think the Super 4 will be more feasible in the month of November, 2022.
Operations head of the Nigeria National league, Emmanuel Adesanya ,has tendered an unreserved apology to the four clubs of the Super 4: Bendel Insurance of Benin, Bayelsa United, Soma United of Gombe and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri as well as stakeholders for the inconveniences the fresh shift in date, would cause.
