The Independent National electoral commission is working with the judiciary to prosecute its staff found culpable in election infractions before, during and after the 2023 general elections.
The process will commence after the conclusion of the supplementary elections.
The Head of INEC Kebbi election monitoring team and the national commissioner of information and voters education, Festus Okoye told (AIT) in Birnin Kebbi that it won’t be Business as usual because the commission is now compiling names of erring staff for the judiciary to tackle electoral offenses in Nigeria.

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu in a meeting with the Resident Electoral Commissioners in Abuja, had admitted that there were hitches in the conduct of the 2023 general elections.
Yakubu promised Nigerians that officials responsible for the infractions during the presidential election would not be involved in the March 18 governorship and houses of assembly elections and but will be prosecuted for electoral offenses.
