The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress, and its candidate Ovie Omo- Agege challenging the decision of the court of appeal which affirmed the election of Sheriff Oborevwori as the governor of Delta state.
The five-man panel led by Justice Inyang Okoro while dismissing the appeal held that the APC failed to prove substantive noncompliance with electoral laws as alleged.

Oborevwori polled 360,234 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Party, who scored 240,229, which led to the challenge of the outcome of the March 18, 2023 governorship election.
