Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara says Thursday’s validation of his victory in the March 18, 2023 Governorship election by the Supreme Court as a victory for the people of the state.
Speaking shortly after a five-man panel of the apex court unanimously affirmed his election, Governor Fubara says the decision now paves way for him to devote full attention to providing good governance and delivering on his campaign promises which he said includes building a united, peaceful, and prosperous Rivers state.
He also used the opportunity to to thank President Bola Tinubu and his immediate predecessor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike for their fatherly roles and support and acknowledged the continued prayers and support he enjoyed from the people of Rivers State.
Fubara said the political crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party in the state will be resolved.
