The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has unveiled the Nigerian Case Management System (NCMS) at the Supreme Court, introducing a new digital framework aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and record management in the nation’s apex court.
Speaking at the launch in Abuja on Wednesday, the CJN described the initiative as a major judicial reform designed to modernise court administration and align Nigeria’s justice system with global best practices.
Chairman of the Judicial Information Technology Policy Committee, Justice Kashim Zannah, described the launch as a landmark step in digital justice delivery.
He said the NCMS would connect superior courts across Nigeria through a unified system, enabling smoother case transfers and reducing delays caused by traditional paper-based procedures.
The system is expected to expand to full electronic filing, allowing lawyers and litigants to file and manage cases online.
