The suspected terrorists who abducted fifteen Islamic students in Sokoto State, Northwest Nigeria, have established contact with the proprietor of the school, demanding 20 million Naira as ransom.
The proprietor, Liman Abubakar, confirmed that the suspected terrorists called him and directed him to meet the village head to raise the N20 million for the children.
He said he met with the village head, and they had a discussion on the matter but were yet to conclude.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO of the state command, Assistant Superintendent, ASP Ahmed Rufai, said the police are still making efforts to secure the release of the students.
It would be recalled that suspected terrorists raided Gidan Bakuso Village in Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Saturday and abducted the Tsangaya School students to an unknown location.
