Some ex-Niger Delta Militants have called on the Federal Government to ensure it finds ways to meet the daily oil production quota as prescribed by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries(OPEC) as a means to boost earnings sufficient enough to address the growing economic hardship in the country.
The stakeholders who made the call after its meeting Saturday in Akure, the Ondo state capital insisted that Nigeria as a country can not adequately justify sufferings among citizens in the midst of abundant natural resources.
The ex Niger Delta militants also used the cause of the stakeholders meeting to renew calls for true federalism where states can be in a position to control and manage their natural resources.
