Former Speaker of the Nigeria House of Representatives and now a serving Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to consider the country’s demography and a candidate that is a Nationalist when choosing the presidential candidate for the 2023 General Election, instead of the Zoning Formula preferred by many.
Tambuwal gave the charge when he met with former presiding officers of the 36 State Houses Of Assembly in Abuja, to solicit their support to actualise his presidential ambition.
Over one hundred former and serving presiding officers and lawmakers from the 36 state Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, converged on Abuja, to endorse the Governor of Sokoto State and former Speaker of the 7th House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal’s 2023 presidential ambition.

He advised the party to strike a balance, in chosing candidates for the President and Vice President.
