At least nine more bodies have been recovered as a result of a boat mishap that occurred on Sunday evening in Mariyol community, in Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The ill-fated boat was heading to Binnari community in Karim-Lamido, with at least one hundred (100) passengers who boarded in Mayo-Renewo Town in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of the State.
The Sarkin Matasa of Mayo-Renewo Isa Jika, confirmed to ait.live via telephone that relatives continue to bury their dead, as they are being recovered and their remains returned home.

He added that the majority of those on board survived the boat mishap, even though the actual number of survivors is yet to be ascertained.
The Taraba State Police Command said it has deployed operatives of the marine police to the area, to collaborate with Local divers to continue rescue efforts.
