Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas has launched the disbursement of N500 million grant to over 200 youths to support the establishment and expansion of micro, small and medium enterprises, MSMEs.
Justifying the grant, Governor Kefas said he believes in the Nigerian youths, and he remains passionate about their development, to secure the future.
The disbursement of a N500 million grant by the Taraba State Government to over 200 beneficiaries will see each beneficiary receive the sum of N500,000. The target is to boost small and medium enterprises in the State.
The initiative is implemented under the Taraba State Youth Development Agency, and its first phase was launched by Governor Agbu Kefas, at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo.
Governor Kefas encouraged youths in the State to remain steadfast in self-development, despite the distractions in their phase of life.
He reassured of his commitment to developing young people, which started long before he became a Governor, adding that his passion and faith in the Nigerian youth has not changed.
Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande commended the Taraba State Government, urging other sub-nationals to emulate the act, as it complements the Federal Government’s effort on youth empowerment.

Chairman of the Taraba State Youth Development Agency, Gara Nongha assured of the Agency ‘s commitment to the success of the empowerment programme.
Governor Kefas was also presented with an award as Emancipator of the Youths by the Agency. The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande also received an award.
The event also featured the unveiling of the Youth Development Roadmap for the years 2026-2031.
