Senator representing Taraba South, and gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress Emmanuel Bwacha says allegations laid against him of branding APC as a party of bandits before his defection, is the concoction of some members of the party intimidated by his membership.
The Senator’s defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), to the All Progressives Congress (APC), was greeted with mixed reactions by the APC in Taraba State.
Bwacha, the Senator representing Taraba South was received to his new party by Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
However, back home his defection and ambition to contest for the Governorship ticket of his new found party does not sit well with some of the APC stakeholders in Taraba State.
They accused him of branding the party as a political party of bandits, an allegation which he says is malicious, and out of intimidation, by those against him in Taraba State.
Bwacha says he has a clean slate as a Senator, and challenges those with allegations of diverting funds for Constituency projects to provide evidence, as he is willing to give himself up for prosecution.
As the primary election of the party gets closer, Taraba APC has replaced four party Local Government chairmen in Southern Taraba, a move that was challenged in court by aggrieved members of the party.
