The Taraba State Police Command says its efforts toward fighting crime and strengthening security infrastructure have been reawakened with a befiting operational headquarters.
The State Police Commissioner Moorkwap Dongshal said this while commissioning the command’s new headquarters in the suburb of Jalingo, after over three (3) decades of operating from a temporary office.
Since the creation of Taraba State in 1991, the State’s Police Command has operated from a temporary office accommodation barely enough to meet its staff strength.
Thirty four (34) years down the line, the Command is moving to it’s new headquarters as the Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu, represented by the State’s Commissioner Of Police Moorkwap Dongshal commissioned the permanent headquarters.
Dongshal noted that the new office accommodation has reawaken the zeal of the State’s Police Command and strategic in strengthening security infrastructure.
Those present at the event say the edifice reflects the commitment to a modern police force.
The new Taraba State Police Command Headquarters is situated in the Yorro Local Government Area, a suburb of Jalingo the State capital.
